You will cut glass in straight lines and curves and learn how to shape it. After picking a pattern for your project, you will select your glass colors and began cutting glass. The next step will be learning how to apply the copper foil. Finally you will learn how to solder it togeth-er. By the end of class you will have a finished stained glass panel.

This class builds on the skills learned in the be-ginning copper foil class. It will serve as an intro-duction to working with lead came. You will further your glass cutting skills. Then you will learn and work with the three types of lead joints. Finally you will solder your project togeth-er and glaze it.

This class is designed to further your skills in work- ing with lead came. You will design your own window and learn how to enlarge it into a work- ing pattern. You will select your glass, cut it out and then lead it. You will have help with the more difficult lead joints and complex soldering. This is a great class to further your stained glass skills.

Explore what copper foil was really designed for, making three dimensional objects such as a lamp. You will create a flat panel lamp with one to three tiers. The tricks to making a lamp will be explained and demonstrated in detail. This is a great class to expand you knowledge of copper foil.
Class Date & Time: Sat. Feb. 27 from 8:00 am to 5:30 pm
You will all create the same window. You may use different glass than the sample if you come in to pick it out before the class. Much of the glass will be cut using the strip cutter. This is an intense class but you will make a window-in-a- day!

This is going to be a four panel simplified mission style lamp. There will be suggested colors for the design. These may be changed if handled be- fore the day class begins. The lamp will be de- signed to fit an approximately 13” to 15” lamp base.

You will make a five piece lid box in this class. You will learn about hinges, feet and other em- bellishments. A fun way to spend a Saturday!

This class will teach all the skills that are taught in 2 of our regular four week classes. You will make a small panel in copper foil on Saturday. Then on Sunday you will put a lead came border around it. Hence you learn both methods of working in stained glass.

This is a new four week class! You will learn how to mosaic a heart motif unto a glass block and then create the background also using glass mosaics. Your last step will be grouting it.

This is a new take on pattern bars. You will be making 3 different types of triangular shaped patterns bars in various sizes based on weight of glass. Once the bars are cut, you will work with 4, 6 and 8 repeat designs to create your fused pieces. These can be used for either jew- elry, trays or platters.

This class will show you multiple ways to change and enhance dichroic glass. You will learn how to layer it, etch or engrave it, frit and draw on it, and many other possibilities. Each technique will give you a unique one of a kind pattern. Examples will be in the store by the end of December.

This is a technique which was developed by Richard Parrish. You will learn a skill set that is similar to his in order to create beautiful tapes- try patterns in fused glass. You may use this to make a bowl, tray or platter.
Class Date & Time: Tuesday, April 5, 12, 19 and 26 from 7-10 pm
This class will inspire you to use a variety of tech- niques to create a beautiful wall piece. You will be encouraged to use manipulated dichroic, mirrored cathedral glass, glass cane and other fusing tricks. You will first layout your design and then start executing all the elements. Not only will you learn several fusing tricks but also many design theories and guidelines.
Class Date & Time: Monday, May 2, 9,16 and 23 from 7-10 pm
A great new TECHNIQUE! You will work with fiber paper, powdered frit and water to create a crackle like glass patter. Once you have made several patterns, you will incorporate them into finished fused glass platters and trays. This also would be a great background pattern for glass tiles.
Class Date & Time: Monday, May 2, 9, 16 and 23 from 7-10 pm
You will make two flowers, one slumped and one sagged. You will make the molds for each, one out of ground up fiber paper and the other carved fiber board. Then you will make the flowers for each mold. The last night will be spent mounting the flowers on copper stems.

Using just shelf paper as the painting medium you will learn how to create patterns which are transferred to the class.

This class will teach you how to use the chemical reaction which will occur between cooper based and sulfur based glass as a design element.
